Significance

Goddess Lakshmi is revered as the giver of prosperity, abundance and well-being. Her puja is performed above all on Diwali evening in pradosh kaal, when she is worshipped together with Lord Ganesha, and also on Dhanteras, on Fridays and, in many regions, on Sharad Purnima. Traders traditionally include chopda pujan, the worship of new account books, in the Diwali puja.

Before the day, settle these details

Bring these details to the conversation so the arrangements fit your family.

  • Share whether the puja is for Diwali, Dhanteras or another day, so the muhurat can be discussed.
